Project “HYDROPLAN” informs about current events in LIFE program meeting.

In order to share the experience with the other Latvian projects that have received LIFE program co-financing, on August 23, the coordinator of project “Restoring the hidrological regime of the Kemeri National Park” (HYDROPLAN) Dana Lūse participated in the meeting organized by LIFE program.

D. Lūse gave the presentation on the course of project, current events, challenges and works to be done, because right now preparation for final stage of project is going on – for execution of actual works in project territories. Prevised that works on restoration of the natural level of water in Kemeri National park wetlands shall start in October.

Meeting was organized within the scope pf project “Increase of the capacity of the LIFE programmes implementation in Latvia" (CAP LIFE LAT)”. The goal of meeting was to gather representatives of all 15 currently realized LIFE program projects, in order to advance exchange of positive experience and necessity for trainings, as well as to discuss current events and issues of projects.

LIFE program is financial instrument of the European Commission (EC) for provision of innovative and sustainable improvement regarding environment quality and climate changes.
